academic literacy program
Our Academic Literacy Program supports student success by promoting and developing language processing skills ranging from comprehension to writing. The method helps to instill skills that are essential to any learner who is struggling to perform at their full potential.
helping learners meet the necessary conditions
for successful academic performance
The program is designed to work directly with students, or partner with a teacher, instructor and/or parent to teach the required language processing skills that are the basis of academic success.
Key components of our program include:
A clearly defined step-by-step method for processing and organizing language
Training workshops and webinars to help your team become comfortable using and teaching the method
An online workspace that is individualized for each learner and is equipped with accommodations
Supporting resources students can use as a companion to learn, practice, and master the core actions of language processing for both reading and writing
An online learning centre containing video tutorials for how to process language effectively and how to make best use of our tools and support activities
A note-generating service for selected curriculum material that a teacher can access for use as a reference
An online resource library of practice text material for both enrichment and remediation activities
A standardized testing component to objectively assess student progression
The program can be delivered in person or online. The objective is to teach the critical actions necessary for language processing so that the learner is able to apply them to any curriculum under any condition.
